Conditions d’utilisation de Truleaf Fields

Version 2026-11-01, en vigueur à partir du 1 novembre 2026.

Pas encore de texte en français. Voici le texte qui fait foi, en anglais.

These terms govern the use of Truleaf Fields ("Fields"), a professional service for monitoring farms with satellite, weather and sensor data, keeping field records and working with advisors.

1. Who we are

Fields is provided by Matheus Paranhos, a sole trader (empresário em nome individual) established in Portugal, trading as Truleaf ("Truleaf", "we"), tax and VAT number PT308520050, tax address R. Antonio Manuel Frutuoso 54, 3700-042 São João da Madeira (Porto Metropolitan Area), Portugal. Contact: hello@truleaf.org.

We may transfer these terms, together with the service, to a company controlled by the same owner (for example a future Truleaf Unipessoal, Lda.), which then takes over all our rights and obligations towards you. We will tell you at least 30 days in advance, and the transfer does not reduce any of your rights. If you object, you may end the contract without penalty before the transfer takes effect, and we refund prepaid fees for the time after the end.

2. Who can use Fields, and the documents that apply

  • Fields is for businesses and professionals: farms, advisory practices, cooperatives, research groups and companies. You must be an adult acting for a business or profession. Fields is not offered to consumers: a farmer or sole trader who uses Fields for their farm or business acts as a business. When you create a workspace, you declare that you use Fields for your farm or business. If mandatory consumer law applies to you anyway, nothing in these terms limits the rights it gives you.
  • Whoever creates a workspace accepts these terms for the business that the workspace represents and confirms they may do so. The workspace is our customer.
  • These documents form part of these terms: the Truleaf Fields privacy notice, the Truleaf Fields data processing agreement (for the personal data in a workspace), the custody clause (when a practice sets up farms for growers) and the advisor access terms (when a farm gives an advisor access). If they conflict, the data processing agreement prevails on personal data in a workspace, and these terms prevail on everything else.
  • Each document has a version and a date. This English text is the binding text for customers outside Spain, Portugal and Brazil. Customers in those countries have their own binding text, in Spanish, European Portuguese and Brazilian Portuguese. A translation or summary never overrides the binding text.

3. What Fields does

Fields shows satellite indices for your fields from Copernicus Sentinel imagery, weather and forecasts, readings from sensors you connect, alerts, a logbook and observations, a portfolio of client farms for advisors, exports, and Kwáu, Truleaf's AI assistant. In some countries, a country add-on adds official data (in Spain, for example, SIGPAC register data, Catastro lookups, PNOA orthophotos, SiAR and AEMET data, and a logbook export in the Anexo V column layout). Features depend on the plan and the farm's location.

4. Workspaces, members and advisors

  • Each workspace has at least one owner. Owners and admins invite members and choose their roles. Each person is responsible for keeping their sign-in details secret.
  • A farm workspace can give an advisory practice or cooperative access. The advisor access terms apply.
  • A practice can set up a farm workspace for a grower before the grower joins. The custody clause applies.
  • The workspace is responsible for what its members and the advisors it lets in do in it.

5. Fields supports decisions. It does not make them

Everything Fields shows, including alerts, the spray window, frost and vigour alerts, satellite values, suggested field outlines and Kwáu's answers, is information to support the decisions of a professional. It is not an instruction and not a diagnosis.

  • Check in the field. Satellite values are estimates from 10 to 20 metre pixels. Clouds cause gaps. Small fields show a trend only, and fields under plastic or net have no vegetation values. A change in a value does not tell you its cause.
  • Spray window. The spray window is advisory. The product label and local rules prevail. In Spain, Royal Decree 1311/2012 (art. 31.4) does not allow treatment with wind above 3 m/s.
  • Forecasts and official data can be wrong or late. Official warnings are shown as published by their provider.
  • Kwáu can be wrong. Check important information independently before you rely on it. Kwáu does not replace your advisor or the product label, and it does not recommend plant-protection products, doses or mixes.
  • Suggested field outlines are suggestions to check, not official boundaries. You are responsible for the outlines you accept.
  • Product checks in the logbook are warnings, not approvals.

6. Records and legal obligations stay with you

  • Fields helps you record treatments and other work, and export them. It does not submit records to SIEX, a regional or commercial CUE, or any authority.
  • In Spain, the logbook can record the data SIEX asks for (Anexo V v3.11) and export it in that column layout for your CUE tool or advisor. The holder of the farm remains responsible for keeping the records and passing them on as the law requires. An export on its own does not meet that duty.
  • Truleaf does not certify that any farm, record or practice meets legal requirements.
  • You are responsible for the professional numbers and other data you enter, including those of applicators and advisors.

7. Data from third parties

Fields uses public and third-party data. We pass on their conditions:

  • "Contains modified Copernicus Sentinel data" (with the year) appears on satellite views and exports. Copernicus data is provided without warranty.
  • Where elevation data is used: "The organisations in charge of the Copernicus programme by law or by delegation do not incur any liability for any use of the Copernicus WorldDEM-30." If you export elevation data, this condition binds you too.
  • In Spain: SiAR data is "puramente orientativo" (indicative only) and AEMET data is shown without changing its meaning. Neither body is responsible for how the data is used. Register data such as SIGPAC is shown as published, with its source; it does not make any declaration correct.
  • Public sources can change or stop. We cannot guarantee that they continue.

Sources and their credits are named where the data is shown.

8. Your data

  • The data you put into a workspace, and the results Fields derives from it, belong to the workspace. You allow us to host and process it only to provide Fields to you, as set out in the privacy notice and the data processing agreement.
  • We do not sell your data. We do not use it to train AI models. We do not compare it across workspaces unless you agree separately.
  • An owner or admin can export all the workspace's data at any time, free, in open formats. The formats are described at truleaf.org/fields/data-formats.
  • Switching to another provider or leaving. From your first contract that is not a test version (section 11): you can ask to switch or leave with up to 2 months' notice; we support a transition of up to 30 days; your data stays available to retrieve for at least 30 days after that; then we erase it. We charge nothing for switching or exporting.
  • Where our infrastructure is and how we protect data against unlawful access by foreign governments is described at section 16 of the data processing agreement.

9. Acceptable use

Do not:

  • put data into Fields that you have no right to share, including other people's personal data without a lawful basis;
  • try to reach other workspaces' data, test our security without our written permission, or get around plan limits;
  • copy, scrape or resell Fields, or reverse-engineer it except where the law allows;
  • use Kwáu for anything Anthropic's usage policy forbids, or from a region where it is not offered;
  • use Fields to break the law.

10. Plans and payment

  • Fields has a free plan, a 30-day trial without a card and paid plans. Prices are on the pricing page and in the quote shown before you buy, and exclude VAT unless stated.
  • Payments are processed by Stripe. We issue invoices with invoicing software certified by the Portuguese Tax Authority.
  • First paid plan: 14 days to change your mind. Within 14 days of the later of the contract and the first payment of your first paid plan, you can ask for a full refund, for any reason. Write to hello@truleaf.org from the address of a workspace owner. We confirm by email and refund by the same payment means, within 14 days at the latest. We offer this to every customer, so nobody has to show whether consumer law applies.
  • Paid plans renew automatically. We remind workspace owners at least 7 days before a renewal. You can cancel at any time; outside the 14 days above, the plan ends at the end of the period already paid, with no refund for the rest of it. Adding hectares is charged pro rata at once; removing hectares applies from the next renewal.
  • If a payment fails, you keep full access for 14 days. After that the workspace becomes read-only (exports stay available) and Kwáu is switched off. If the payment is still missing after 45 days, the subscription is cancelled.
  • We announce price changes at least 30 days in advance. They apply from your next renewal.
  • Time-limited offers (for example for founding customers or for customers switching from another platform), where they exist, appear in the quote with the price and the end date. When an offer ends the standard price applies, and we tell you 30 days in advance.

11. Test versions and pilots

  • Paid plans are never a test version. A free feature that the product labels as a test version, for a limited period, is not a production service: it may change or stop, with no availability commitment and no service level. For those features only, the test-version exemption of the EU Data Act (Regulation (EU) 2023/2854, art. 31(2)) applies.
  • A pilot runs until we announce its end, with at least 30 days' notice.
  • You can still export your data at any time.

12. Availability and support

We work to keep Fields available and to restore it quickly after a fault, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. We announce planned maintenance in advance where we can. If a data source or service provider is down, the affected part of Fields shows it and the rest keeps working. Support: hello@truleaf.org.

13. Changes to Fields and to these terms

  • We improve Fields over time and may change or remove features. We tell you in advance before removing a feature that your plan includes.
  • When we change these terms in a way that affects your rights or obligations, we publish a new version with its date, tell workspace owners at least 30 days in advance, and owners accept it before they continue. Typo fixes do not need acceptance.

14. Suspension and ending

  • You can stop using Fields and delete a workspace at any time. A deleted workspace can be restored for 30 days; then it is erased. An export is offered first.
  • We may suspend access, in whole or in part, to protect the service or other customers, after non-payment (section 10), or after a serious breach of these terms. Where possible we warn you first and explain why.
  • We may end these terms for a workspace without cause with 90 days' notice, refunding prepaid fees for the time after the end, or at once for a serious breach. You can export your data before the end, and afterwards as section 8 describes.

15. Liability

  • None of the exclusions or the cap in this section applies to intent, gross negligence, death or personal injury, the rights of data subjects under the GDPR or the LGPD, or any liability the law does not allow to be limited.

  • Fields supports professional decisions (section 5). We are not liable for decisions you or your advisors take, including crop losses, treatments or missed deadlines, unless they were caused by our wilful misconduct or gross negligence.

  • We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit or data that a regular export would have avoided.

  • Our total liability per workspace in any 12 months is limited to the greater of the fees paid for the workspace in the 12 months before the event and EUR 500.

  • Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited.

16. Intellectual property

Fields, its software and its content belong to Truleaf or its licensors. You get the right to use Fields under these terms while your workspace is active. If you send us suggestions, we may use them without obligation.

17. Law and courts

These terms are governed by Portuguese law, without prejudice to the mandatory rules of the customer's country that apply. Disputes go to the courts of Truleaf's domicile in Portugal or, at your choice, the courts of your seat.
